Keith Pearson's Hat-trick

Country/Folk, great musicianship This act has evolved through years of musicianship and friendship, showcasing  the combined experience of these three artists who have performed to audiences around the world; from County Music Festivals in Australia to the nightclubs of Ibiza.  Theirs is a unique performance of original songs, drawing on traditional and contemporary styles.

Keith (banjo) is a singer/songwriter who started out as a solo artist touring Folk Clubs and bringing his music to festivals and venues in the UK and Europe.  More recently he was best known in the UK as the front man of “Coup de Grass”.

In Australia he led “Treacle Line”, the zany but incredibly popular bluegrass trio, touring for some 15 years topping bills at country venues and shows in NSW, Queensland and Victoria.  Keith has since led an Americana/Country Rock five-piece band based in Cambridge.

Phil Milner (bass)  – latterly known as Tarzan in “Coup de Grass” – Ace bassist and master of harmony, Phil is an experienced session player and singer, able to take on anything from Bluegrass to Soul, Jazz, Blues and even Hard Rock. He  also toured all over Britain on the Folk circuit.  Over time, Phil has played everywhere from India to South America.

Nigel Fear  (guitar) – nothing to fear about him – Nigel is an accomplished guitarist and pedal steel player and thoroughly good chap.  He has played in several bands local to Cambridge, and spent a number of years as a professional musician in Spain where he played with the resident band at the Casino de Ibiza backing many well-known artists.
